Today my mom and I learned a few Tongan words and then she tested me and used the words in a sentence i had to guess what the English word was like she used "TELEFONI" which translates to Phone. and few other words here is the picture of the words we learned.
Malo e lelei Caleb.
ReplyDeleteI saw that you are one of our bloggers of the week and I was so surprised and impressed when I opened up your blog and saw a Tonga language Week post.
I notice some similarities to Māori language like comb in Tongan is helu and in Māori is heru. I wonder what other words are similar.
Have you been able to learn how to say hello and ask how are you?
Hello Caleb,
ReplyDeleteI like your poster of how to say things in Tonga. Next time can you put a video on to make sure that we say it right instead on saying it was wrong.
Thank you
